I read this page and it’s very bizarre. None of the complaints actually have anything to do with using SPIR-V to do anything, they are just random nerdster implementation details for the inside of 1 compiler? (I know nothing about SPIR-V so do not wish to defend it or not).

It’s like someone who doesn’t know anything about rockets complaining that they don’t totally like the shape of the rocket because it means the rocket shed doors they make have to be taller or something.

And then he even complains at the bottom of the page “it seems like none of its defenders have ever done anything with it” but the only thing he has done is … tried to cross-compile to it where someone else wrote the compiler? Like seriously, wtf.
