@bdiamand I'm not convinced that casting to force disjoint should be allowed, but if it had to be there, something similar to const_cast<>() would do it.

I’m not convinced that casting to force disjoint should be allowed, but if it had to be there, something similar to const_cast<>() would do it.

I’ve seen “disjoint” used to describe non-aliased objects in a lot of places, so I went with it. I’m not opposed to other name choices.
