Did you know that quaternions have two different representations in homogeneous coordinates? They make up the special orthogonal group SO(3), but that’s a subgroup of two larger complementary transformation groups.

First, quaternions are part of the special Euclidean group SE(3), where they correspond to rotations about the origin. Second, quaternions are part of the special complement Euclidean group SE̅(3), where they correspond to motions of constant eccentricity with the directrix in the horizon, which are just rotations about the origin again. SO(3) is the intersection of SE(3) and SE̅(3).

Have you been able to schedule the start of the online GA coarse yet? Date and time of day, frequency etc?

This is not final yet, but it’s looking like 1:00pm Pacific Time on Tuesdays and Thursdays will work well. Each session would be 75-90 minutes in length. It could start around the end of August or beginning of September.

Is there a course webpage where I can find all the details about the courses? I am interested to take the course.
