Not sure how well they fit into your category, but, coverage guided fuzzing, dynamic/static race detection, Valgrind/ASan/MSan, TLA+, Paxos/Raft, CRDT-s

Memory checking is pretty old if you look up the history (I used Purify in 1992 or so, and it had a better UI than most tools today, so there’s even been regression). TSAN is newer though. CRDT I cannot say anything about, not having used.
