I’ve been keeping an eye on this & the HVM work, there is some really interesting stuff happening there. My issue however is this doesn’t feel like a general purpose language, more something that you would reach for if you already knew you had a massively parallel problem.

Not even. Their performance is atrocious and their recursive programming model doesn’t map well to GPUs.
