On my install the limit is 8M, even vkcube’s usage is listed above 100mb, I don’t think it will work in “no-additional setup” cases?

Yeah it’s unreasonably low 8MiB by default in my Artix machine also. So the reality is that any Linux box will need some config changes to have a good experience out of the box.
