The sticky slope to tyrantry starts with people that fear being targeted for expressing an opinion -> self sensoring, etc -> and one can already see this with flock, people don’t want to sign a petition because they know that will become an instant list of targeted individuals

We already see flock cameras placed to record just people entering a shooting range, sure not a problem while under republican rule, but when the political flip flop happens, the dems already have their next target list

Hardcore dems and republicans never decide elections because they are fixed in their ways, the reality is those that don’t map well to either end up swinging left or right in mass and deciding things for everyone else

Right now it seems like more dems are involved in cancelling flock than the republicans, who if they double down, might force the hand of libertarians/etc to switch sides

This sticky slope issue is core in the convergence to a dystopia, any system designed for absolute crushing of difference of opinion converges into the dark ages. Once humans have trade their lively hood to make the right choice, history shows a seriously horrible outcome
