I find it ironic when academics write about how to make a programming language and make it with their own language that nobody else understands.
They should just use a lingua franca like C.

It’s not in their best interest that people realize what they do is not difficult or borderline trivial in most cases. I mean, good luck tricking others to give you money and funding those “academic conferences in <exotic_place>” without all that clout they live to protect. 😅
