I remember having an argument with one of the staffs of 42 about allowing the usage of debuggers in exams as he was totally against the idea leaving us with printf debugging in a 2h exam session. I never understood why there is so much hate/reluctance about the usage of debuggers

@Jerroudi_Yass Debuggers are too powerful. People who don’t know how to use them would suffer if people around them learned to use a debugger. Their colleagues would suddenly become 10x programmers and they would not. Thus it’s better that nobody learns the debugger.

@SebAaltonen So the logic is not to let people who are willing to learn more things and tools that are not required in a curriculum to do so, and have everybody on a equal skillset ?
