I notice that your proposed minimal API makes use of PCIe ReBAR. However, the following article points out that PCIe ReBAR may be nontrivial for consumers to enable: https://asawicki.info/articles/state_of_gpu_hardware_2025.php

These are all software issues. The whole premise of writing a new clean graphics API with new drivers is fixing the software. This includes fixing PCIe ReBAR software issues of course.
