The smart move would have been renaming the whole company to Oculus. It was an extraordinarily good brand with massive positive recognition.

Or sure name the company Meta if you need to, but keep the Facebook and Oculus brands. It’s not that difficult - companies do it all the time (e.g. Alphabet, VAG, etc)
