I've gotten rid of compaction in my loops in favor of a summary handoff to continue the given task because I've noticed that compacting is actually *worse*.

I’ve gotten rid of compaction in my loops in favor of a summary handoff to continue the given task because I’ve noticed that compacting is actually worse. You end up with a history that’s a mystery, which can lead to good results, or bad results, or crazy results where the agent overindexes on something that it wouldn’t have otherwise.

Definitely not a solved problem in the space!
